We open a google doc we had to make open question and close question explain a open question is

more than one word a close question is a one word question explain "do you like school".

Kiwisport

For kiwisport we learn a new skill. It is called dig

How to do a dig.

Put one foot at the front and the other foot at the back.

Maori

For maori we translate words

I translated the date. For example "ko te Ramiri te na. Te ra rua teka ma ono o pipiri" means today is friday the 26 of June

We also translated the numbers and the picture For example "tekau ma tahi" means . Another example is "makariri" which means cold.

I enjoying doing maori and finish my maori works.

Maths

For maths i learn angle,measure and coding. We measure with coding is how long it is.

What is coding?
Coding is use numbers,words and symbols to describe the movement.

What is measure?
When you measure a object to find how long it is.

What is angles?
Angle are turned one direction. Angle are measure in degree(*).

To play this game you need a pencil,ruler and a protractor.

The pencil we had to mark the spot how many were we measure.

The ruler is to measure the how many degree*.

The protractor is to measure how many degree*to turn.

Writing

I learned about an information report. A information report is to inform the topic. There is 4 structure of a information report. Title,introduction,information and conclusion.

I have to find fact about my animals we get to pick are animals i pick rabbit we have a doc of information there were 4 paragraphs. another name of your animal,what your animal eat,your animal looks like and your animals live.

Reading

LI-To identify vocabulary to summarise the text.

For reading we summarising the book. The book was about the girl and Baxter as the dog describe them. And we have to find noun,verb and adjective.

A noun is a name of a place,season,thing and person.

A verb is describe an action of a sentence. Explain because,happened and hear.

A adjective are words describe a noun. Explain sweet and red.

Summarising is when you give the main part beginning,middle and end.

Maths

I learn about mass,length and volume. Mass the weight of something. Length how long something. Volume is much space how much it use it.

Mass. We have to use scale to answer. Explain 76-37. We had blocks that more heavy 1,5,10,20.

Length. We use paper to measure.

Volume. We answer with bottle and water.

The experiment was hard the hard one was the last one.

QAR

We learnt about question there right there,think search,author you,on my own.

Right there is in the book and can point to the answer.

A Think and search is in the book you find the answer at a different place.

On my own not in the book a question that you can answer.

Author and me is not at the book but you think about the question.

This helped me understand about the question.

Maori

In maori we made number chart. we write down numbers and words in maori.

We write numbers in maori. An explanation of 122 is kotahi rua tekau ma rua. Kotahi is the hundred, rua tekau is the tens and rua is the ones.

Kiwi sports

For kiwi sports we did volleyball and learnt setting. We had a teacher to practice what to do and the rules of volleyball. The setting was hand on your head.

Reading

Today i have to find verbs,noun and adjectives.`

We had to find verbs,nouns and adjectives.

There three meaning,verbs,nouns,adjective.

Verb means is something to do.

Noun means somewhere name of a place and name.

Adjective means are word that describe something.

subtraction place value

I did a subtraction using place value. I subtracted numbers from the place values ones, tens, and hundreds.

To subtract 209-112, I did the following

First i spilt the hundred,tens and ones 112=(100+10+2)

Then i subtraction  201-2=199                                       

 Then 199-10=189

Finally i took 189-100=89

Then we answer are question of the scale with blocks. Each of the blocks hade numbers that will make it heaven we have the 1,5,10 and 20.

Aboriginal art

Aboriginals are the people who have been in Australia for many years. A long time they made symbols to tell the story with symbols as dots.

We have done this for the past 2 weeks. We had a practise the symbols and the video of the story about aboriginal art. They were man, sun, star, rainbow, footstep and rainfall.

The second day we had to do is do another practise and we watch a video how the kangaroo got his pracl. The story was about the kangaroo got attack and a kangaroo meet someone. This was to practice the symbols.

We then told our own story by tracing an animal on to black paper. We went around the outline with chalk. I choose a kangaroo,koala,whale and turtle and symbols we had to make a story about the symbols and the animals.

Light and sound

I learnt light and sound vocabulary with my group. We had a group of light and sound vocabulary, and there were different meanings. We had to match the right meaning and the word.

Vibration means when something moving back and forth,  shaking very quickly.

Reflect means light can travel through something like glass and paper.

Homonyms and Homographs

Homonyms and homographs are same words like iron and iron the same and it get confusing.

Homonyms are sound the same,same spell and different meaning that the same meaning like live and live. Live means you stay somewhere and live means it happened now.

Homograph are spell,the same sound the same and different means like a explan sewer is a place under ground full of rubbish and sewer is a plant that grow as a flower.                                           

Inquiry

Light is a glowing thing like fire and the sun.There are properties of light.

Light cannot travel through opaque objects.

Mirrors reflect the light back.                        

Light made a rainbow while traveling through prism.

Writing

LI-To investigate homophones

Homophones are words that sound the same, are spelt different and mean different things. We had to write 4 meaning of homophones. We also had to put a picture to show the diufferent in each word.

Reading

LI-to pose question and locate the answers in the text

Close question and open question are different. A close question is a yes or no question. A open question are more than one word. 

Close question explain what your favour color. Open question explain what your favour food and why.
